The mission of Delivering Hope NOLA is to provide hope and encouragement to the families of infants and children receiving critical care through a variety of supportive services.
About Us
Delivering Hope NOLA is a group of New Orleans preemie moms who know all too well how lonely the NICU can be, especially during the holidays. While we accept we cannot heal a newborn, or make time move faster for a mom, we are confident we can help families through this very difficult time. We have made it our goal to help make the holidays a little brighter for New Orleans NICU families.
Over the past few years we have been delivering care packages to one local hospital, but thanks to our incredible supporters we have since expanded and now deliver over 200 care packages during the holidays. In addition to our holiday care packages, we also deliver in May for Parents of Preemies Day.
Our dream is to one day have a mini care package with contact information to a local NICU mom for every baby born in the New Orleans area that has to first stay in the NICU. We feel the best way to get through a NICU stay is with the support from others who have been there and survived.
Our Services
The main service provided by this organization is the delivery of specially created care packages to families of newborns in neonatal care at hospitals in the New Orleans area. These packages contain items that are particularly useful to these families to aid in family bonding, care for parents or siblings, and to provide a sense of normalcy during this hectic time. 200 care packages are delivered to 10 hospitals in May in celebration of Parents of Preemie day as well as in December to celebrate the holiday season. In addition to the scheduled deliveries our team deliveries packages all year as we become aware of a family in need.
